SEVENTEEN Rocked The Stage for Shining Diamonds in Bangkok

South Korean idol group under Pledis Entertainment, SEVENTEEN made their way to Bangkok, Thailand, on the 21st of August 2016 for Seventeen Shining Diamonds Fanmeeting in Bangkok recently! Bangkok is the forth and last stop in the South East Asian region for the Seventeen 1st Asia Pacific Tour 2016 before the group heads to the Australasia region. 

Seventeen is a 13-members idol group which consists of members S.Coups, Junghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, Dokyeom, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino. Despite debuted just over a year ago, they have without a doubt been making their name known to the K-pop fans all over the world with multiple awards in their young and promising career. 

Organized by Three Angles Group, the fanmeeting was held at Muang Thai GMM Live House with the group making a dramatic appearance on stage, giving an energetic opening performance of “Shining Diamond”. “Rock” and "Chuck (엄지척)" were performed after a short introduction by them. It was then time for the Q&A session. The questions were collected from the fans prior to the fanmeeting and were pasted on the board for the members to pick randomly. The ones that the members picked included requests for staring contest, stamina battle, sexy dances, acting and ranking the members based on their looks. Carats (Seventeen’s fans) were laughing along, “woo~ing”, screaming and cheering on the members as they carried out the requests. 

Next, the group performed “Popular Song (유행가)” and “Drift Away (떠내려가)”. The soothing melody accompanied by their sweet voices set the groove back into the venue as the crowd sang along to the songs. The boys continued to capture the crowd’s attention with performance of “Still Lonely (이놈의 인기)” and “Q&A”, a song they collaborated with Ailee. 

A fanmeeting would not be completed without a game session! The members who were split into their respective teams, played charades game whereby each team were given 1 minute to guess the maximum 5 question correctly and the team with the least correct guesses would lose. Vocal team won the session with perfect 5 points, while Hip Hop and Performance teams were tied at 2 points each. This called for a bonus question which Hip Hop team guessed correctly making the Performance team last and had received ‘punishments’ whereby they got tickled for 10 seconds, challenging IU’s high notes and doing sexy dance and elephant spins. 

After the fun-filled game session, the boys went backstage for a short break before returning to perform “Adore U (아낀다)”, “Manse (만세)”, “Pretty U (예쁘다)” and “Very Nice (아주 Nice)”. Powerful, adorable, cute and witty, are probably the best words to describe the choreographies that the boys have created for these songs! The group members changed their outfits while having some footages being played, showing their life journey as Seventeen that made some Carats shed some tears. 

They then performed “Healing (힐링)” and wrapped up the fanmeeting with “Love Letter (사랑쪽지)”. The fans also showed their appreciation and love towards the group by lifting up banners, saying “Lets walk together for a very long time (오래오래 함께 걸어가자)” which was a fan project that the Thai Carats have prepared. 

During the ending ment, each of the members thanked each fans for coming and even tried to speak in Thai language. Two hours of pulsating performances, fun activities, and unforgettable memories, Seventeen took their final bows and waved goodbye to their fans.
