Stadium Negara witnessed the large crowds of BOICE (CNBLUE's fans) that started to form as early as 10AM! It was D-Day for CNBLUE's first solo concert in Malaysia, Blue Moon 2013 CNBLUE World Tour Live in Kuala Lumpur. CNBLUE consists of Jung Yonghwa (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Lee Jonghyun (lead guitar, vocals), Lee Jungshin (bass guitar, vocals) and Kang Minhyuk (drums, vocals). The concert started around 7.30PM with an opening act from Malaysia's very own beatboxer-singer. A
visual graphic of a galaxy was shown on the big screen to introduce all four
members of the boy band. As the boys came up to the stage, Malaysia fanclub of CNBLUE prepared a fan-project where the fans at the Moon Zone were covered with a huge
piece of white cloth with CNBLUE We Are Here” written on it, as a reply to the opening song titled “Where You Are”.
The band warmed up the stage with “Get Away” and “One Time”. Then, they introduced themselves with “Hello Malaysia, We are CNBLUE” and a Bahasa Malaysia introduction of "Kami ialah CNBLUE" by Yonghwa. He then continued his speech with “Currently
CNBLUE is in Kuala Lumpur. Thank you for waiting. Thank you very much. Apa
khabar semua?”. Jungshin started to communicate with the fans with “Rindu kami?
Rindu kami?? Kami pun rindu kamu”. As soon as Yonghwa shouted, “Malaysia, 소리질러!!!
(Malaysia, scream!!!)”, the crowds immediately went wild! The rest of the members then introduced themselves in
Bahasa Malaysia and English. Cute Minhyuk said “Apa khabar saya
Minhyuk. Terima Kashi~”.
CNBLUE rocked on the stage with “나란 남자 (Man Like Me)”, “Coffee Shop” and “Have A Goodnight”. They
cooled down the stage a solo keyboard performance by Yonghwa, followed by a performance of “Wake-up”, ”나 그대보다 (More Than You)”, “사랑 빛 (Love
Light)”, “Feeling” and “상상 (Imagine)”. The crowds were fascinated with Yonghwa's solo performance as the result of the stage lighting that made whole stadium full with snow-like effect, especially at the
roof of the stadium! During “사랑 빛 (Love
Light)”, the fans initiated another fan-project by raising
up their pink lightsticks to create lovely pink ocean.
The members did really
good in interacting with the crowds in English as well as in Bahasa Malaysia
without the present of a translator. Minhyuk even mentioned some of Malaysia's local delicacies such as 'Satay' and 'Nasi
Lemak'. “Di Malaysia banyak makanan yang sedap…”, said Minhyuk. “Satay, Satay and Nasi Lemak! I know
Satay, Nasi lemak, you know? Saya mahu makan satay!". Warm replies and laughter
from BOICE as CNBLUE continued to speak in Bahasa Malaysia.
The concert
continued with “Why”, “라라라 (La La La)”, “Just Please”, “Tattoo”, “In My Head”, “Intuition
(직감)”,
“I’m a Loner” and “I’m Sorry”. Blue lightsticks were waved up high throughout the concert, creating the enthusiastic blue wave which is also CNBLUE's official colour.
Encore started as soon as some visual graphics were played on a big white cloth which covered the front part of the stage. CNBLUE appeared on the stage once again their popular songs
such as “Hey You”, “Love Girl” and also performed a new digital single, “Feel Good” for the very first time! "Feel Good" is specially made for the Samsung Galaxy Music
promo as Samsung Galaxy was the main sponsor for this amazing event. They
continued performing “You’ve Fallen For Me (넌 내게 반했어)” from Heartstrings Soundtrack where the leader of the band himself, Yonghwa became the lead actor of the drama. The rock band from South Korea ended the concert with “Love”
and “Try Again, Smile Again”.
During the boys' last performance, Yonghwa wore a frog hat that was given by a fan from the rockpit! All of them then bowed at every side of the stage, thanking everyone who came to the concert. The live performances showcased by CNBLUE were indeed amazing! No doubt that the rock band has big and strong fanbases from all around the World! Thanks to DAOL Entertainment
for this once in a lifetime experience!
