Last EXO'luXion Stop in Malaysia leaves EXO-L with Bittersweet Memories

EXO PLANET #2 – The EXO’luXion World Tour Live in Malaysia 2016 is jointly presented by Spritzer Mineral Water and Robsonhill Residency and is organized by Star Planet Sdn Bhd. Held at Merdeka Stadium on 12th March 2016 at 8pm, this is EXO’s second world tour, yet it is the group’s first concert in Malaysia since their debut. It is a full house on show day, with over 14,000 local and oversea fans coming from Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, China, Singapore and more.

EXO is one of the biggest names in K-pop known with their unique mix of multi-talented boy band having the largest fanclub ever since their debut. EXO debut in 2012 and had rose to fame shortly with the release of their million seller regular album “XOXO” (2013). Numerous hits were released ever since their debut, such as “Wolf”, “Growl”, “Overdose” and “Call Me Baby”. EXO is setting new records in worldwide scale, receiving large number of awards in South Korea and China, nominated as Top 1 in K-Pop by American Billboard in 2013, biggest influence in Korea by Forbes Korea Power Celebrity in 2014.

EXO, with the appearances of all nine members kick started the concert with the opening VCR, The Exo'luxion. The boys heated up the stage with the opening performance of “중독 (Overdose) (KR)” followed by “History (CH)” and “El Dorado (KR)”. The ment take part soon after the individual introduction. Suho complimenting the hot weather by praise EXO-L (EXO’s Fanclub) with “You are so hot!”. Xiumin then expresses his worried about the El-Nino phenomena as Malaysia is one of the countries that experience a sudden heat rose for the past few days before the concert and even on the concert day itself. EXO then continued the concert with “나비소녀 (Don't Go) (KR)” and a surprise fireworks from outside the stadium escorted their “Playboy (KR)” performance followed by “Baby, Don't Cry (인어의 눈물) (KR)” featured solo water dance performance by Sehun and Kai that caused the crowd to be more lively at the moment onward. Then, the heat were neutralize by the performance of My Answer (KR).

EXO-L’s eyes were hypnotized by the 2nd VCR played with the Background Music of ”My Turn to Cry” that shows sweet EXO members with their lovely girlfriend (EXO-L) on a date. Next up was “The Star (KR)” and followed by “Exodus (KR)” and “Hurt (KR)”. The show continues with the 3rd VCR of Elf (EXO) working in a Coffee Maker Machine and the boys appeared again with “피터팬 (Peter Pan) (KR)” and “XOXO (KR)”.

For their “Lucky (CH)” performance, EXO Union Malaysia (EUM) prepared a handbanner project where “언제나 네 곁에 있을게” was written and “Always by Your Side” is the meaning of it. The show continued with “3.6.5 (KR)”. Later on they continued with the ment where Suho mention about celebrating Christmas together with the Malaysian EXO-L and he even communicate with the fans in good English skills too. The concert then resumed with “Christmas Day (KR)”, “첫 눈 (First Snow) (CH)” and “12월의 기적 (Miracles in December) (CH)”.

Chanyeol and Xiumin appeared on stage for a short Ment to introduced the next song composed by Chanyeol himself, “Full Moon”. EXO turn the stage into a dance floor for the EDM Stage as they perform “Machine”, “Drop That”, “Let Out the Beast” and “Run” that were accompanied by Chanyeol as the DJ for this segment. Through out the EDM Stage EXO-L can be seen wearing a finger LED each that consist of multi rainbow color light creating a colorful ocean pretty enough to make this segment memorable. This fanproject was lead by EXO Union Malaysia (EUM) and it is a successful fanproject. After the 4th VCR, EXO continued with “Call Me Baby”, “Dubstep Intro”, “으르렁 (Growl) extended version (CH)” and “Love Me Right” as the final song for the concert.

Now it’s time for encore and Silver Savior Union (SSUM) come up with an awesome fanproject where all EXO-L unite together singing “Sing for You” for encore instead. It give you goosebumps as the voice filling the stadium atmosphere in rhythm. Soon after that the encore VCR were shown on screen with the background music “Promise” followed by the performance of “Sing for You (KR)”. While EXO performing, another fanproject take place as all EXO-L were seen raising up handbanner with “당당하게 너를 사랑하고있어서 행복해” written on it that can also be understand as “We are happy to love you virtuously”. As the song ends, Baekhyun ask the fans about the project and he was thankful for the fans’ hard work to stay until the end in this extreme hot weather. Sehun also mention that he once told the same thing as written on the handbanner to EXO-L before.

EXO-L under the lead of Xiuminunionmy again come up with a project by singing a birthday song together for Xiumin upcoming birthday. EXO wrapped up the night in memories as they took a group photo with EXO-L as the background. Finally, it has come to the end as “Unfair (KR)” is the final song for this concert here in Malaysia.
