Malaysian Beginning Celebrated With B.I.G On Its 2nd Anniversary!

It is just a beginning for South Korean idol group, B.I.G to make their way through the Korean Pop music scene! The group has just celebrated their 2nd anniversary this month and also made a stop at our shore last week for B.I.G First Showcase in Malaysia 2016, organised by I Creative Event. Held at Summit Subang USJ and Berjaya Times Square on 23rd and 24th July respectively, the group, which consists of member J-hoon, Benji, Gunmin, Gook Min Pyo and Heedo, didn't disappoint us with their catchy songs and witty personalities!

Showcase at Summit USJ kicked off with their latest release, 'Aphrodite', followed by members introductions. The members also mentioned a few of Malaysian delicacies that they tried including chicken rice, roti canai and nasi lemak. The quartet then performed 'Take Me Home' and 'TAOLA', followed by a game session of charades with lucky fans. In the end, Gook Min Pyo's team won and each fans received special gifts. They then performed 'Are You Listening?', followed by 'Are You Ready?'.

Leader J-Hoon also received a surprise belated birthday celebration from group members and fans! He then praised Malaysian fans with "Bagus (good)". B.I.G wrapped up the day with final song, 'Hello', followed by photo and fansign sessions with fans.

The next day showcase held at Berjaya Times Square started with 'Are You Ready?'. Member Benji mentioned that the weather was hot, leading the members to take off their outerwear. He also mentioned that the group had a short tour and tried fried frog and durian. Member Heedo found out that the texture of durian is unique and even expressed through funny expressions on how it tasted like. They then performed 'Are You Listening?', followed by 'Between Night and Music'. Game session with lucky fans was up next whereby the members had to teach the fans on how to sing snippets of their title tracks and in the end, J-hoon's team won. B.I.G also sang 'Take Me Home', followed by 'Aphrodite'.

Malaysia fanbase of B.I.G then surprised the members with mini 2nd anniversary celebration by showing up on stage with a cake! Playful J-hoon managed to smudge some cream on Benji's cheek. J-hoon thanked the fans for the cake and Benji said, "It's our first time here in Malaysia but you guys are awesome!". The showcase ended with 'Hello', followed by group and photo session.
