2016 Busan One Asia Festival (BOF)

2016 Busan One Asia Festival (BOF), a mega Hallyu event, which has gained the spotlight with a strong celebrity lineup, including Psy, Girls Generation, CNBLUE, AOA, TWICE, and I.O.I, has launched official ticket sales. BOF announced the celebrity lineups for individual concerts and opened the official ticket site. The opening event, BOF One Asia Opening Performance, will be held at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on October 1 (SAT). 

BOF is a festival combining Busan’s cultural and tourism infrastructure with hallyu content and Asian culture. It provides an opportunity for exchanges to enjoy K-Culture, including K-Pop, K-Food, and K-Beauty, with youth from Asia and around the world, and will be established as a festival that represents Asia. The festival will take place at several locations in Busan, including Asiad Main Stadium and Bexco, from October 1 (SAT) to 23 (SUN). 

The official launch of ticket sales for the BOF opening performance is scheduled for September 5 (MON). One Asia Opening Performance will be held at Asiad Main Stadium at 5:20pm on October 1 (SAT). A superb celebrity lineup, including Psy, Girls Generation, CNBLUE, INFINITE, Block B, Bangtan Boys, B1A4, Apink, Girl’s Day, B.A.P, T-ara, I.O.I, and Lyn, will showcase the most magnificent performance of all time. Special guests, including Actress Lee Da-hae, Park Chan-ho, dubbed “Korean Express”, and Stylist Jung Yungi, will also join to offer the best stage. 

“K-POP Concert-3Stage” will launch official ticket sales on 06/09 (TUE). “K-POP Concert-3Stage” will take place at 7pm for three consecutive days from October 2 (SUN) to 4 (TUE). The celebrities expected to offer fantastic performances are Seven, Kim Kyu-jong (SS301), and U-Kiss on the 2nd; Gummy, Hwang Chi-yeul, and Lyn on the 3rd; and T-ara and DIA on the 4th. 

In addition to concerts, ticket sales for virtual experience zones, including hallyu, beauty, and food pavilions and a non-verbal performance will be launched on September 8 (THU). The ‘Hallyu Star & Beauty Exhibition will be held at BEXCO from September 30 (FRI) to October 9 (SUN). The event will also feature a high-tech hallyu concert deploying VR of singers from JYP, including 2PM, Wonder Girls, and GOT7, and beauty knowhow of Korea’s top female stars. ‘Taste Busan’ will be held at BEXCO between September 30 (FRI) and October 4 (TUE). Outstanding star chefs, including Lee Yeonbok, Choi Hyunseok, Oh Sedeuk, Hong Sinae, An Hyunmin, and Shin Dongmin, will showcase a cooking show and their dishes. ‘The Painters: Hero’, a non-verbal performance, is well known for its comic drawing show. ‘Monkey Dance’, a performance selected via a contest among local performance bands in Busan, is an acapella performance featuring communion between a monkey and a human. 

‘The Show’, a special-edition concert of SBS MTV, a music broadcaster, will also take place. Ticket sales for ‘The Show K-Pop Super Concert’ will be launched on 09/09 (FRI). The concert will be hosted at The Sajik Arena at 8pm on October 18 (TUE) and will feature celebrities such as VIXX, GFriend, I.O.I, Dal Shabet, and GOT7, who will put on superb performances. 

All tickets will be available on the Hana Tour Hana Ticket homepage (ticket.hanatour.com) from 8pm on the respective dates for launch of ticket sales. The celebrity lineups and ticket sales launch dates for Hallyu star fan meetings and ‘One Asia Dream Concert’, the closing ceremony, will be announced later. 

Meanwhile, BOF will present diverse interactive content only viewable via TV, such as music, variety, and cooking shows, which also allows visitors to have direct experiences with their five senses. Exotic experiences, such as attending a music show and experiencing popular variety shows, will be available for visitors to the festival.
