BIG BANG might be well-known to most South Koreans but the popularity of Akdong Musician, also as known as AKMU, is not far behind their senior group whom also under the same entertainment agency! Not forget to mention, the adorable and charming duo are also siblings! Their first visit to Malaysia even overwhelmed them with the huge amount of audience despite the show’s last minute announcement.
The show which was held at KL Live on 26th December 2016 kick started with two songs including “How People Move”. The siblings duo then introduced themselves in Malay language and mentioned that Kuala Lumpur is their final stop for the AKMU Studio tour. Member, Chanhyuk said that Malaysia’s weather is hot, just like the audience’s reaction. Member, Suhyun also said that they should come to Malaysia often as they were surprised to see the huge number of fans that night.
They then performed “Every Little Thing”, “Don’t Twist Legs”, “Re-Bye” and “Melted” before proceeding to short interview session and also small game session for the duo to test their telepathy between siblings! The siblings didn’t miss the chance to tell their fans that they were going to release a new album in January and asked the fans to give love and support to the release. Suhyun were so excited for the album’s release, that she could not wait to perform the new songs in front of the audience!
AKMU then performed a special carol performance, “Winter Wonderland”, followed by a cover of BIG BANG’s Taeyang’s “Nose, Eyes, Lip” and “Officially Missing You”. Not only us who were mesmerized but member, Chanhyuk was also mesmerized with the fans whom sang along to each of the songs out loud that he said he could not sing properly, thanks to the overwhelmed reaction! He then expressed his gratitude to the fans who came to the show, mentioned that the fans were his Christmas gifts.
