Rapidly growing number of the ‘Hallyu Wave’ fans can be
observed in Malaysia, especially with the high demand of Korean movies to be
screened at local cinemas. Therefore, World’s First & Only Korean
Blockbuster movie channel, tvN Movies has recently made its way to meet the ‘Hallyu
Wave’ fans through HyppTV (CH 222) with a variety of all-time favourite Korean
movies, ready to be screened all day long at your home TV screen! In
commemoration of the channel launching, actor Ji Chang-wook was invited to promote
the channel and also the recently-released movie that he starred in which is ‘Fabricated
City’.
Ji Chang-wook greeted the guest of honours and medias from
Malaysia and Singapore at a press conference held at The Westin, Kuala Lumpur.
He was delighted to be in country and also to promote his movies to the South
East Asian audiences. When was interviewed regarding of movie ‘Fabricated City’,
the dashing actor mentioned that he prepared a lot, physically and emotionally,
for his role in the movie in spite not having any similarity with his movie
character. “It was a scary filming place (the prison) from what I remembered so
it was tiring and scary during filming process”, said him. Thanks to intense
training prior filming, he sustained very minor injuries during filming.
Furthermore, he was also surprised with the big welcome from
fans and expressed his interest to come to Malaysia once again for a vacation
as he did not have the chance to explore about the country this time. Upon
being asked on what genre of film will he starred in next, Ji Chang-wook said
that he is currently working on a romantic-comedy drama and it would be his
first time acting in such genre and believed it would be interesting throughout
filming process. Being aware of his soon-to-come compulsory army training in
Korea for 2 years, the actor mentioned he would love to have good time with
filming staff and also go for a vacation before going for army.
Press conference ended with group photo session with lucky
fans before proceeding to the gala premiere which was held at GSC Pavilion,
witnessing a huge number of fans turning up to catch a glimpse of the
well-known South Korean actor. ‘Fabricated City’ is also slated to be released
at local cinemas on 20th April 2017.
