3-day film festival offers Malaysia audience the chance to enjoy exciting Korean movies for free
Kuala Lumpur, October 2017 – Korean movie fans! Mark your calendars and catch some of the best Korean films for free at the Korean Film Festival 2017 from 26 to 28 October. The Korean Film Festival 2017 is organized by The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia and offers a unique chance for Korean film-lovers to experience the vibrancy of the Korean film industry. A total of 5 films will be shown in Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), Pavilion KL.
Besides showcasing and promoting Korean cinema experience, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea aims to introduce Korean culture and tradition to the Malaysian community.
The Korean Film Festival presents films across a diverse selection of Korean film genres including recent classics to award winning films. Drama, action-thriller and heart-warming romance movies are all in the line-up to attract a wide-range of audience and showcase the diversity of Korean movies. The much-loved Korean cinema experience will certainly please the Korean movie fans while offering cinematic insight into contemporary Korean culture.
The festival features five titles – The Suspect starring heartthrob “Goblin” and “Train to Busan” lead actor Gong Yoo in an action-packed thriller; The Fatal Encounter a historical film that tells the story of the real-life assassination attempt on King Jeong-jo; adrenaline-pumping crime thriller A Hard Day follows a series of unfortunate events of a detective’s day; My Brilliant Life depicts a heart-warming story of a progeria child and romantic comedy My Love, My Bride illustrate the life of a newlywed couple.
All of the film screenings will be free and open to public from 26 to 28 October in GSC Pavilion KL. To redeem the free tickets, present a printout or a screenshot on mobile device of any photos or articles about this Festival in any publication, online postings from the official Facebook Page or GSC digital channels and get TWO complimentary tickets from the ticketing counters of the GSC Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. Redemption starts from 19 October onwards and will be on first-come-first-serve basis while tickets last.
