Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ Official Malaysia Launching with Park Bogum

The wait is finally over!

The latest Galaxy series from Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are finally here in Malaysia. On Thursday, 15th of March 2018, Samsung Malaysia Electronics officially launched the introduction of the S9 and S9+ at the Official Launching which took place in Pavilion Centre Court. And special just for the Malaysian fans, the brand also flew in their brand ambassador for the S9 and S9+, Korean actor and superstar, Park Bogum.

The launching started with a brief video introducing the brand new S9 and S9+ followed by the opening speech of Samsung Malaysia Electronics President, Mr Kim Yoonsoo. Apart from introducing the new Galaxy model, Mr Kim also presented the focused unique features of the new models.

The new S9 and S9+ are equipped with new AR Emoji, Super Slow-mo and Super Low-light features. While the AR Emoji will enable users to create emoji of themselves, the Super Slow-mo feature will be able to record video of up to 960 frames per second. Also, equipped with Samsung’s Dual Aperture camera will automatically adjust to the lighting conditions especially in low light environment.

The launch was then taken over by Jinnyboy and Reuben as they demonstrate how the S9 and S9+ users can use the Super Slow-mo and AR Emoji features.

Then, it was time for a lot of the fans were waiting for. The appearance of the “Love in The Moonlight’ prince, Park Bogum. He appeared on stage together with Miss Astro 2016, Ms Serene Lim, with smiles and greeted the audience, both the Samsung enthusiasts and his fans alike. He started his greetings with “Saya rindu padamu, I miss you so much”, showing he learned some Malay and English to be able to communicate with his fans more.

After that was the photo session with Mr Kim Yoonsoo, Mr Yoo Jinhyun (Samsung Malaysia Electronics Business Director, IT & Mobile Business), Mr KM Liew (Samsung Malaysia Electronics Head of IT & Mobile Business) together with Park Bogum and Ms Serene Lim modelling the new Samsung S9 and S9+

After the photo session, Park Bogum then proceeds to demonstrate the Slow-mo feature of the new S9+ with three selected fans. The fans are brought on stage one by one and were able to share some slow-mo moment with the Moonlight prince captured by the new S9+.

After that, there was a short Q&A session with Park Bogum (PB). Below are the questions and edited answers asked and answered during the Q&A:

Q1: What are the features of the new S9/S9+ that you enjoyed the most?

PB: I really like the high resolution that it has for the front camera so you can take good selcas, and also the feature that you can create your own emoji is fun.

Q2: What are the moment that you want to be able to capture using the new slow-mo feature of the S9/S9+?

PB: This moment with the fans since it has been a long time since my last visit here, so I would like to capture it slowly. Also, I want to capture those everyday moments that sometimes we missed out or we don’t see them because we took them for granted.

Q3: Which of the Malaysian fruit you would like to try, durian or strawberry?

PB: I would try the durian first then the strawberry.

Park Bogum then closes his appearance and the official launching of the S9 and S9+ with a message reminding his fans to promise him that they will capture their precious moments and send them to him via SNS and he said he hopes he will be able to meet the fans again through a good project in the future. “I thank everyone here for being present at this event and I hope to show myself to you through good dramas this year. I will try my best, thank you so much, thank you guys”.
